The Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association (ZYKFA) Lion Dance Troupe has been performing traditional Chinese Lion Dance and Drum Array performances for over 30 years. Our award-winning troupe has brought energy, tradition, and cultural authenticity to Lunar New Year celebrations, Tết festivals, business grand openings, weddings, banquets, and cultural festivals throughout Madison, across Wisconsin, throughout the Midwest, and nationwide.​​

Our performance footprint includes events in Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas, and Arizona, making us one of the most experienced and traveled Lion Dance teams in the region.

Lineage & International Recognition

 

ZYKFA is a proud member of the World Sar Ping Lion Arts Federation. Sifu Nelson Ferreira is a direct disciple of Grandmaster Chan Siew Kee, the third-generation inheritor of the Sar Ping Lion Arts and the global head of the Sar Ping Lion Arts family.

Our Lion Dance team has trained, performed, and competed internationally in Brazil, Taiwan, Singapore, and China (Macau), continually deepening our understanding of traditional Southern Chinese Lion Dance, drumming, and ceremonial practices.
