These classes are focused on the basics concepts and applications of our art. Students practice their Jibengong (Basics Training) that includes stretching, breathing and stances as well as striking with your hands, elbows, knees and legs.

Lion Dance (舞獅) classes are for the practice of traditional Chinese lion dancing and performance drumming (Sar Ping Style), for youth and adults. Our lion dance team has many performances throughout the year. This class is to expand the students understanding of the martial art and cultural practices they already learn in our school. New ZYKFA students are encouraged to attend and participate in our performances!

Students work on footwork, strikes, throws, and combinations using punches, kicks, knees and elbows. Rulesets taught are both for Sanda and Kuoshu Lei Tai methods of sport combat.

Classes are similar to the regular Northern Shaolin class in format, but shorter in duration and organized with younger students in mind. Ages range: 7 to 12.

These are short 30-minute classes that focus on breathing (Qi Gong), range of motion and meditation practices. Available for all levels.

This class is designed for students to explore the weapon techniques they learn through the forms of our system in a contact environment. Students wear protective gear and specially designed padded weapons for safety. Students are restricted to using techniques that they learn in their sets during sparring. Students must have white sash or above to attend these classes.
